The Golden Sun rises again.
He, who had conquered the mighty
Stands alone now on the great field.
Only dust and echoes remain.
Dark clouds begin to form.

They seem menacing in the distance.
Though the malevolent storm envelopes the sun
A single ray still burns with the same intensity.
He looks to the sky and faces the truth.

Staring back is everything, and nothing
All in a single glorious moment
He knows.
It begins to rain.
Not in sheets or waves
But in a torrential downpour.

He stands, unwavering, unmoving.
His attention is fully enveloped within the stream of light.
The light begins to fade.
He reaches out as if to halt its progress.
The light is only a pinprick in his eye now
Though he is still fully focused, resolute.

He knows.
The light completely fades now
Only the maelstrom which consumes him is left.
He wavers, only for a moment and falls to the ground.
The rain is now unending, infinite, controlling.

Then, instantaneously, as if by the hand of God Himself
The clouds are swept away.
The golden light blankets over the entire world
And the dust, echoes and pain are stripped from the land.

He now stands
And begins to walk down the trail.
Not the only trail, but one of thousands.
With a single glance he looks back
At what had just been his Heaven and Hell.
Turning back, he now faces what is to come.
Knows not, does he.
