Oops, forgot to mention. He is part of a project code-named SPARTAN III. His Identification is SPARTAN-117.

It was a pretty good plot, and I agree with Hawk on the fact that he is Spartan 117 and an augmented human. The first of this series kept me in suspense. At first, I thought Captain Keyes might have been the person even though he was dead.
