Gotta read the prologue. I have to say, it's not as good as this one, but people still seemed to find it good.

I thought it was great. What's up with the covenant civil war though?

Plus, Fanoon was behind a crate, so that is kinda defended.

Think of the minutes as 'translated'. As for the raw meat part, it was basically a bag of rations that they salvaged from a supply crate. And they didn't have enough time to drag their wounded to defended areas.

I liked it, especially about the part about the Medical Grunts. What was up with the raw meat part, though? I also believe that the Covenant would get all the wounded to retreat behind defended areas for medical attention, not just left on the battlefield, prone to attack.
Another problem is that you used minutes to describe time. Shouldn't the Covenant have other units?
Otherwise, it was very cool. I hope to read more.

I'd think it would be lighter myself. Whenever I'm in a tight situation, everything seems to be lighter and I move faster. That or I just think faster. I'm not sure.

It might not be that heavy, but you'd probably think different if you were running from a ticking time bomb.

it was good, but i don't think an ODST Master Sergeant would just drop his gun like that. plus an SMG isn't that big or heavy.

Yeah, now that track ended, my teachers have given me almost two giant projects in each class, so I've been racking my brain to write, so...yeah. Thanks, everyone, for your comments.

			Not bad.
The structure was perfect, the beginning captured my attention and kept me reading.
I stumbled on a few sentences though, and I personally thought you repeated words a tad too much.
  Overall, good, I enjoyed it.

Nice story Nick. Personally I like hearing about 2 groups of covies wasting each other... it makes my job in Halo 2 that much easier :)
